You're invited to our Inaugural Tiny House BIG CHANGE Dinner!

Venue: Gleneagles Country Club | 5401 West Park Boulevard, Plano, Texas 75093

Date and Time: September 7th, 2017 from 6:30pm-9:00pm

Come support our endeavor to compassionately provide to those seeking to recover the tools and hope necessary to live a life free from addiction. Our Tiny House Big Recovery project empowers the women of Collin County by providing a safe, sober living environment while offering treatment, support, and tools to heal the past, attend the present, and - in lifelong recovery - transform the future.

We will have Emmy Award winning WFAA reporter Jobin Panicker emcee the event and you will hear from such distinguished and inspirational speakers such as Jason Hernandez.

A native of McKinney, Texas, Jason Hernandez lived a charmed childhood. Yet, at just 15—lured by the action he witnessed on the city’s east side—he opted for a life selling drugs on those same streets.

Scarcely an adult, at 21, Jason found himself on the wrong side of federal authorities; soon after, walking through the gates of prison serving life plus 320 without parole. While incarcerated, Jason suffered an unthinkable family tragedy; the effect of which would forever alter the course of his future.

Miraculous by most standards, Jason’s story is one of second chances; an opportunity to tirelessly advocate for criminal justice reform, children of the incarcerated, and other at-risk youth in our community. He has been featured in numerous media outlets such as Texas Monthly, Time, and CNN. Jason currently serves as Youth Outreach Director at Grace to Change, a nonprofit drug and alcohol recovery center in his hometown of McKinney, Texas.

Film synopsis: From the creators of The Anonymous People comes GENERATION FOUND, a powerful story about one community coming together to ignite a youth addiction recovery revolution in their hometown. Devastated by an epidemic of addiction, Houston faced the reality of burying and locking up its young people at an alarming rate. And so in one of the biggest cities in America, visionary counselors, law school dropouts, aspiring rock musicians, retired football players, oil industry executives, and church leaders came together to build the world’s largest peer-driven youth and family recovery community.

Independently filmed over the course of two years, GENERATION FOUND takes an unprecedented and intimate look at how a system of treatment centers, sober high schools, alternative peer groups, and collegiate recovery programs can exist in concert to intervene early and provide a real and tested long-term alternative to the “War on Drugs.” It is not only a deeply personal story, but one with real-world utility for communities struggling with addiction worldwide.
